Hospitality & Hotel Partnerships Intern
Nairobi,
Kenya
Do you love talking to people? Are you fascinated by the tourism industry and interested in how hotels and accommodations work together? Do you live in or near Langata and know the neighborhood like the back of your hand?
We are looking for an outgoing Hospitality & Hotel Partnerships Intern to join the Sadili team. Your office will be the neighborhood—walking into hotels, pitching to front-desk managers, and building relationships that drive bookings for Sadili's BnB side. You will receive direct mentorship from the owner of Sadili.
About the Role:
This role is for a relationship-builder. Sadili has a beautiful BnB side, and we need someone who can go out into the Langata community and beyond to establish partnerships with local hotels, tour operators, and travel agents. You will be the bridge between Sadili and the tourism market. This is not a desk job—you will be out in the field, talking to people, and driving real revenue.
What You'll Do (with support from the owner):
- Visit local hotels, lodges, and tour operators in Langata and surrounding areas to pitch Sadili's BnB as a preferred accommodation partner.
- Make and receive phone calls to prospective clients (hotels, travel agents, corporate partners) to share information about Sadili's BnB offerings.
- Appear on camera for social media content showcasing the BnB and local tourism experiences (the videographer handles all filming and editing).
- Write compelling descriptions for our accommodations, local travel guides, and guest communications.
- Assist with guest check-ins, feedback collection, and hospitality logistics.
- Support event planning efforts (community days, open houses) — a strong perk if you have this skill.
What We're Looking For:
- An absolute people person who is not camera shy and loves talking to new people.
- Comfortable on the phone and in person — you will be walking into hotels and pitching to managers.
- Interest in tourism, hospitality, and building business partnerships.
- Living in or near Langata is a strong plus — local knowledge is a massive asset.
- Great phone manner and ability to talk confidently with new clients.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
- Interest in community building and hosting.
What You'll Learn (with mentorship from the owner):
- How to pitch and close hotel and tourism partnerships.
- Client communication, phone sales, and in-person negotiation etiquette.
- How to represent a brand on camera authentically.
- Writing for marketing (social media, emails, proposals, travel guides).
- Real-world hospitality and tourism business operations.
Perks:
- Direct mentorship from the owner of Sadili.
- Hands-on experience in tourism marketing and partnership development.
- Build a network of contacts in Nairobi's hospitality industry.
- Access to Sadili's sports events and facilities.
- Performance bonus opportunity: 5% commission on the first booking from any hotel partner you personally bring in.
- Letter of recommendation upon successful completion.
How to Apply:
Send a short, casual video (max 60 seconds) where you pretend you are calling a hotel manager to introduce Sadili's BnB. We want to see your personality, phone manner, and pitch skills in action.
Also include a 2–3 sentence writing sample (e.g., a short, enticing description of Sadili's BnB for a travel website).
Location: Sadili Oval, Nairobi (with significant fieldwork in Langata and surrounding areas)
Commitment: 3–6 months, full-time
Start date: 15th September 2026
This is a paid internship with a monthly stipend
